I added a deal on the right side of my blog that lists the current high and low prices of gas in the Twin Cities area. I think it’s a pretty cool website, where people can log in and post the most current prices they’ve seen in their neighborhood. (I worked at a gas station in High School, and learned it’s illegal for an employee to give out the current price over the phone, or to publish the current price online – the law doesn’t apply to aver Joe-drive-by).
I know that very few of you live in the Minneapolis area, but you can check out similar sites for your local area at GasBuddy.com, the parent site of TwinCitiesGasPrices.com. There are sites for cities all over the U.S. and Canada.
I especially like the site because I live in Granite City, an hour from the Twin Cities. When I go home on weekends, I check to see if it would be cheaper to fill before I leave Granite City, or wait until I get to the Cities.
