It’s only eight days after the election, and Chairman Bush is coming out with another betrayal. He is reviving his bid to legalize illegal immigrants, despite the fact that most of the conservatives who voted for him, and many of the liberals who didn’t, do not want to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants.
President Bush yesterday moved aggressively to resurrect his plan to relax rules against illegal immigration, a move bound to anger conservatives just days after they helped re-elect him.
How can we win his “war on terror” when we allow anyone who wishes to cross our borders without fear of deportation? How can we get the budget under control when many of our social services are being granted to those who aren’t even supposed to be here.
This is another notch in the “why I’m glad I didn’t vote for Bush” column.
