I’ve been having some fun over my lunch hours for the past few weeks reading the email interactions posted at 419eater.com. It’s a site set up to scam Nigerian Advance Fee Fraud Scammers. Most of them try to get photos that make fun of the scammer, and some go as far as getting money out of the scammers (which the webmaster claims he passes along to a local charity.)
Some of them are incredibly funny, and do a great job of preoccupying these thugs and distracting them from scamming the more naive.
If you have some free time and are looking for a good diversion and a few good laughs, check them out.
I wanna betamugu!
A laugh or TWO? Holy cow! It took me almost an hour to read all the pages for one set of letters, and I was laughing so hard I was crying! And it takes a lot for me! That place is an absolute riot.
Did you read the one where he claims to be from the Church of the Painted Breast? Hilarious! The form the scammer filled out had me in stitches.
That was the long one I read! I almost fell out of my chair laughing! He took the $18K and ran away to the circus? And STILL kept emailing? What a riot!!!
And that guy bought everything hook, line, and sinker.
I wonder how many scammers he has to communicate with before he finds one stupid enough to buy what he tells them. I’ve been trying to have a little fun of my own and so far they stop emailing me after my first or second email. It either takes a lot, or I’m really bad at it.
