The Good
My vehicle seems to be back in splendid operating condition. I put in a new Thermostat, and it seems to be heating the way it should now. I got new brake pads on, so the squeak went away. I also got a deal connected to the coolant line that will make flushing the coolant system a breeze when I get a chance to do it. BTW, lifetime brake pads are a sham. The pads I just replaced were lifetime pads. They “don’t cover normal wear”. Don’t cover normal wear? what’s the point then? Apparently the warranty covers the pads from falling off, but you still have to replace them when they wear out.
The Bad
Having a car that runs like it should is all well and good, but paying for it is another matter. If the repairs are done for the time being, I’ll be alright for the time being. I wish that the Star Trek idea of a replicater would become reality. “Computer, gimme one set of break pads for a 1997 GMC Sonoma pickup.” “Computer, gimme 100 gold coins.”
The Ugly
“As long as the Vikes don’t get cocky, this should be another win for them.” Well, it seems they got cocky; or fell asleep. The Viqueens didn’t live up to their 6-0 record today, and the NY Giants didn’t play like a 2-4 team. Well, there’s always next week, when they should stomp on the Packers at home.
