Today marks the second annivarsary of this blog! I never thought it would last more than a few weeks, especially since I only started it as an experiment in installing software on a Linux machine without harassing the friend who helped me get going on Linux in the first place.
Over the course of the last two years I have:
- taken a temporary job, then my current job.
- moved twice (as in from a house to an apartment to another house).
- completely rebuilt the server that the blog runs on and moved from Movable Type to WordPress.
- experimented with forums (while I am the only member and there are no threads and few categories, the forum does still exist).
- changed domain names twice (but never again).
- got my wish and met, fell in love with, and married a woman with a house.
- come very close to becoming a licensed private pilot. By my third anniversary (hopefully by the end of the year, but we’ll see), I’ll be a pilot.
- made numerous “blog friends1“, which I’ve greatly enjoyed.
As far as I’m concerned, I’m just getting started!!
1acquaintences whose blogs I read regularly, and regularly read mine.
