Hal Lindsey is certainly a controversial figure. Some, like myself, believe that his theology is solid, and his predictions accurate. To be fair, they are not really his predictions, but rather his interpretation of scripture based on current events. Others pass him off as an evangelical nut-job. I am a bit biased in regards to Hal, as I came to faith through a ministry similar to his, which is actually headed by one of Hal’s best friends, Chuck Missler. I tend not to care that some, including many of my Christian brothers and sisters, pass Hal and Chuck (and myself as a follower) off as Left Behind-style whack-o’s.
Today on World Net Daily, Hal has a column about the United Nations, it’s failure, and it’s prophetic role in coming events.
The Bible prophets elaborately predict the role of global government in the last days. It will be assumed by a revived Roman Empire in Europe. It is no coincidence that the European Union is uniquely positioned to pick up the pieces in the event of a U.N. collapse.
And I do not believe it is a coincidence that the calls for the United States to pull out of the United Nations grow louder each year. While Europe waits in the wings.
