Today is another one of those days I know I’m going to look back to someday and wish for. It’s one of those days that isn’t so great, but looking back it will look pretty good. I got the day’s work (so far) done at noon, and have spent the afternoon looking for ways to kill the boredom. This usually involves some web surfing. I’m only working on one project, while the architect I’m working with is working on several. I get some drawings done and hand them back to him to make changes/additions, and wait until he gets it done. I have two hours left in the workday and suspect that I won’t have any more work before tomorrow.
Much of my surfing has involved looking up apartments on the internet. I’m currently mulling over two of them, both across the street from the office. I haven’t talked to anyone about either of them, so I don’t even know if they both have vacancies I’d be interested in (I want a 2-bedroom in the $450-650/mo range). Assuming they both have open apartments in the variety that caught my attention, the question in my mind is do I want to go with the apartment that has underground parking, a fitness room, and internet; or do I want to save about $100 and get my own internet, forget the fitness room, and park outside? The nicer apartment is towards the upper end of my price range, and both would make it easy to go home for lunch.
After talking to a coworker, surfing some more, and chatting via IM online with a friend, I’m down to an hour left and still no work. Well, hopefully this means that whatever I have do to tomorrow will either take all day, or can be stretched out to take all day.
PAY THE FREAKING HUNDRED DOLLARS EXTRA AND SIT IN A LAP OF LUXURY! FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
Seriously, heated parking was hands down the best feature of my apartment, less the girls, pool, volleyball, vaulted ceilings, in unit laundry, and on and on!
