I saw another reason I need a camera phone. I stopped to get gas on my way home from work and saw a Dodge Caravan with a snow plow on it. What Cletus thought that would be a good idea? If I had a camera with me, I would have taken a picture. Come to think of it, it was dark out, and even with a camera phone, the picture may not have come out anyway.
I breifly looked through a few adds for apartments in the classified section of the Granite City Times today. Looks like I could move out this weekend if I wanted to. There are a few places that say “move in today for $75.” They offer no security deposit and first month free. My guess is those aren’t the nicest apartments though. Every day that I go to work, I get more eager to move. The drive is really getting to me. I either have to move soon, or quit my job. I have no desire to be unemployed again, so moving is where it’s at. Two more full weekd before Christmas, and only two days of work during the week of Christmas, hopefully I can keep from going crazy before then. I think I may be leaning toward a cheaper apartment. I badly want to go to Israel again in late May into June, and I badly want to get back into pilot training and get my license. With the cheaper apartment, both are realistic dreams. I also want to finally pay off some short-term debt I’ve had since college (and were it not for 18 months of unemployment since then it would be paid off). The nicer place is enticing, but I’m young enough I can live in a cheap place now and enjoy a nicer place in a few years. The cheaper place also would make it easier to save for a down payment on a mortage. I’ll just have to see what the cheaper places are like. Right now my standards are low, but not non-existent. I have to have a dishwasher for instance.
Work picked up a little today. I had enough to keep me busy all day. I hope it continues through tomorrow.
