I’m only 27 years old, but until recently, I always remember any talk af religion in the public square being framed around the freedom of religion. Now whenever I hear it mentioned in the public square, it’s framed around the mythical “seperation of church and state”.
Then again, I’ve also gone from nominal-moderate “Bible-basher” to hard-core “Bible banger”. I’m sure it’s probably just a matter of perspective.
Don’t forget the new common-thread framing everything in the public square around raw hatred for Christians.
But is that a new thing, or is just that my perspective has changed in the last 5-6 years?
Boy, is that ever a good point. I didn’t think of it before, for some reason – but you are right!
